Scaffolding Leasing

Finance your scaffolding kit quickly, easily and cheaply via our Scaffolding Leasing Division. Financing & leasing scaffolding materials works out so much cheaper than sub hiring. The monthly cost of hiring scaffolding is approximately the same as a lease repayment, over a period of 1 to 5 years. However, with WestWon, at the end of the term of the lease, you will have the option to own the kit outright.

We specialise in scaffolding finance; providing building and construction companies with all the materials they may require, including tubes, boards, fittings, netting and vehicles. We have an established track record in this sector and years of experience.

How do you finance scaffolding materials?

  •  You choose what scaffolding kit you need
  • You choose the supplier and negotiate the best terms – pricing and delivery
  • We take the scaffolding suppliers quote and then work out what the scaffolding lease rental will be
  • You choose the lease term. For the record, 80% of scaffolding customers lease over three years, 15% over two, the remainder over one, four or five years
  • We send you the finance paperwork via email, which you sign and return to us
  • Your supplier invoices our finance provider who pays their invoice in full
  • The supplier delivers, or you pick up the scaffolding kit.

Benefits of Scaffolding Finance

  • You can own the scaffolding kit at the end of the lease finance agreement

  • No taking kit back to the hirers yard, you can keep it on your site

What is the average deal size the WestWon scaffolding division does?

Our average lease value is £25,000.00+VAT. This year it is £56,283.86.

How long can you lease over?

One to five years in duration. Most scaffolding companies will lease over two or three years.

What deposit do you take?

We normally take a deposit equal to three months rental. Sometimes one month rental as a deposit.

Can I own the kit at the end of the lease agreement?

Yes, normally there is a small fee to pay 1% of the original capital cost. You can only take title when you have paid all the rentals in full and have terminated the agreement correctly first.

Does WestWon do business loans for scaffolding companies?

Yes, loans can be for a range of purposes, we have funders that will offer commercial business loans for scaffolding companies.

What are the key terms in the WestWon lease rental agreement?

  • You must keep the equipment insured
  • You do not own the equipment, therefore you cannot sell it
  • The leasing company is not responsible if the kit does not work
  • The leasing company is not responsible if there is a problem with the supplier
  • If you do not keep up with your rental repayments, they can take it back and charge you for any difference in what cash they have collected and what is owed

I am a new start scaffolding company, will you credit clear me?

If you have a clear personal credit history, we should be able to source funds for you, along with the support of a Directors Guarantee.

I am an established scaffolding business with over three years trading, what information do you require?

Often, we just take a look at the information in the public domain at Companies House. However, there are times when we will ask to see bank statements, last year’s full audited accounts and management accounts.

I have a CCJ / my company has a CCJ, will we get finance?

If the CCJ is satisfied and there is a good reason for the County Court Judgement, then we will argue your case. However, if you have an unsatisfied CCJ, then sadly we will struggle to get finance.

Another leasing company has said no, will you be any different?

Some leasing companies just do not like the scaffolding sector. It may be your existing leasing company is fully committed. It may be such you are asking for £50,000 and have said no, when if you asked for £25,000 they would have said yes. Often, we can obtain leasing finance even if another leasing company has said no.

How cheap are your lease rates?

We do not normally lose business because we are too expensive. Our view is to give cheap lease rates and make sure we do more business together in the future.

What happens if the equipment on lease gets stolen?

Your insurance company will pay you out, you then replace the equipment and inform WestWon. We will then inform the finance company you pay your rentals to.

Can I use my own supplier of scaffolding equipment?

Yes, you choose who you want to supply the kit.

Can you lease scaffolding kit which is being bought from a foreign supplier?

Yes. It must be done by what we call a “sale and lease back.” You buy and pay for the kit, you then invoice our finance company and they will pay you back in full.

Can you finance vehicles scaffolders use?

Yes, we are doing a lot of leasing for scaffolding companies where they are financing vans and wagons. We also finance cars for the business owners as well.

Can I pay the lease off early?

Yes. The finance company will work out a settlement figure based on how many rentals are left to pay.
