Can you use leasing to help fund a website?
Most leasing companies will say no. Your website will have zero resale value in the event of them having to reposes it. The domain name might have some value, but rarely is this included in the cos of website development and even then, a leasing company would not be interested in trying to resell a domain name.
From a funders perspective, there are other issues with regards to what happens if the website does not work properly and who has legal title in it. However, there are times when we have leased website development.

Can you finance or lease an off the shelf e-commerce website?
Yes, if the website frame is off the shelf, i.e. it is a set product that many companies can use, then yes we should be able to lease it. Sometimes, this may not be possible, but then we can still revert back to a business loan to help fund your e-commerce website.
