We are committed to improving the health of the nation through promoting active lifestyles. We will achieve this by facilitating big impact partnerships, championing innovation, providing high quality services to our members, campaigning, providing research and sharing insights. This is our promise to our members, stakeholders and the nation.
UK active have over 3,000 members including gym and fitness clubs, leisure centres, big companies, trainers and sports providers, plus suppliers of gym equipment in the UK. They have an interesting range of strategic partners including Sainsbury’s, Coca-Cola, Wilmot Dixon and well as eminent gym equipment manufacturers TechnoGym and Precor.
Why WestWon has become a member of ukactive
Whenever we set up a division concentrating on a specific market, one of the first things we do is to look at the associations and organisations serving the sector. ukactive serves all the stakeholders in this market, from personal trainers to gyms and the companies that supply the equipment. It was what their mission that excited us. Ukactive want more people to be more active more often. It’s a simple mission statement that we can relate to.
Being an expert in gym equipment leasing
If we get involved in something, we want to do it to the best of our ability. For us, gym equipment leasing is not just another idea to write a few extra lease deals every month. Our mission is to be a leader – an expert – in gym equipment leasing. This does not happen overnight and we still have a lot to learn. We improve our knowledge from the fitness centres and gyms that buy gym machines and also from independent organisations like ukactive. Becoming a member is important for us to improve our knowledge so we can truly call ourselves an expert in gym equipment leasing.
