Planning and Finance Hold The Key To Successful Office Moves

September 22, 2014/0 Comments/in General, Office Equipment Leasing/by Jess Wells-Flint

Moving offices? Or planning a fit out or refurbishment of a current workspace? From initial design to realisation, the whole process will certainly run a whole lot smoother with the right project planning tools and finance package in place.

Leading office furniture leasing company WestWon makes it easy for you to acquire both the project planning support you require and the office furniture and fit out lease finance too.

Office Move and Refurbishment Project planning.

WestWon has recently launched the Dream Office Move website – specifically designed to help businesses manage the sizeable task of relocating or upgrading their current office premises. The interactive website enables office move project leaders to rapidly product a structured step-by-step project plan for the whole office move using the  Dream Office Moves’ free 7-stage Project Plan.

This Project Planning allows those moving offices to build a personalised workplace transition plan simply by answering a few straightforward questions. Each project plan consists of staged actions, advice and information and pinpoints both priorities and the best strategies to minimise risk.  The office move project planner also generates a printable overview flow chart to visually guide users through each stage of their planned office move.

Also available on the Dream Office Move website is a series of free downloadable ‘Keyhole’ Guides to office moving, spanning topics such as:

  • Budgeting and Financial Planning for Office Moves
  • Checklist For A Successful Office Move
  • Employer and Employee Relations

Office Fit-Out Project Finance

As well as requiring a careful planning, office refurbishment, fit-out and furniture projects can also require significant up-front capital investment – however the rewards are only realised over time.

Alternatively, lease finance for office projects allows payments to be spread over time so that companies can reap the benefits of their new more productive environment before paying for it and without having to wait for large sums of capital to become available.

At WestWon, lease finance agreements are specifically tailored for office refurbishments and fit-outs and can include all aspects of the project including:

  • Office space planning and other professional services
  • Office furniture
  • Office ceiling leasing
  • Leasing office flooring
  • Leasing office partitioning and storage walls
  • Leasing for all types of blinds
  • Leasing for LED lighting
  • Leasing office infrastructure and IT

WestWon offers businesses an end-to-end planning and finance service for companies moving offices and seeking the best leasing options for their plans. Companies can enjoy the convenience of finance from a single source for a whole range of project needs. Plus an agreement tailored to individual requirements by experts in the Office Move and Fit Out field.

Can Refurbishing Your Office Environment Increase Productivity?

April 23, 2014/0 Comments/in Blog, General, Office Furniture & Fit Out Leasing/by Jess Wells-Flint

Does your office environment affect productivity? The simple answer is yes. Creating a vibrant and positive office space can improve staff morale and efficiency as well as help you make the right impression on clients. What is more, it doesn’t have to mean a large capital outlay as businesses can finance an entire office fit out or refit as well as furniture through a lease agreement.

A study by the Commission for Architecture & the Built Environment and the British Council for Offices has revealed that even simple things such as good lighting can reduce absenteeism by 15 per cent and increase productivity by between 2.8% and 20%. It also found that an employee’s workplace is responsible for 24% of their job satisfaction and this can affect performance by 5%.

There are a number of elements to consider when refurbishing your work premises. These include:

  • Colour scheme: The use of colour can have a significant positive or negative affect on employees. For example, neutral colours can be calming while the use of a bright colour as an accent can have an invigorating affect.
  • Lighting: Studies show a strong correlation between natural light and employee efficiency. Maximizing natural daylight can create a positive atmosphere and mood, where as a lack of light or dim artificial lighting can be depressing. New lighting including LED lighting can be leased.
  • Layout: Partitions or open plan? The layout of a workplace should aid employees in their work and, if hosting customers, should be welcoming. Consider the work and needs of a department or employee, some may need to be able to interact easily across a space and others may need privacy and quiet.
  • Ergonomic furniture: It is essential that furniture meets the needs of the user, being both comfortable and functional, in order to minimise the risk of injury and maximise performance.
  • Acoustics and temperature: Noise levels and temperature in any office are important factors to ensure a pleasant work environment without unnecessary distraction or irritation.

When moving to new offices or injecting new life into your current premises, it is important that your interior reflects your company’s ethos and values, provides a positive work environment for staff and makes the right first impression with potential clients. Get it right and it can lead to increased productivity, improved staff morale and reduced absenteeism.

Your interior makeover doesn’t have to come at a high price either when you use leasing for your office refurbishment or fit out – from planning and design to interior finishes and installation, through a flexible lease. Lighting, flooring, furnishings, computer equipment and even moving services can be covered under one agreement. This means you only need to pay one monthly or quarterly payment for multiple suppliers.

With leasing, you can choose exactly what you need without compromising your cash flow or existing lines of credit, and spread the cost of the project over a number of years. Plus, lease payments can even be tailored to match seasonal cash flow and be set against profits to potentially reduce your tax bills.

For more information about improving your office environment and productivity with leasing for furniture and interior design you can download the Dream Office brochure and also the WestWon Finance for Interior Projects Factsheet.  Tel: WestWon on 01494 611 456 for details and lease pricing.

Top Tips For Office Furniture and Fit Out Leasing Options

November 6, 2013/1 Comment/in Office Equipment Leasing/by Jess Wells-Flint
Furniture Leasing from WestWon

WestWon has a long-standing heritage in the furniture, office equipment and fit out leasing marketplace and continues to invest heavily in the sector. We focus, in particular, on innovative technology, excellent service, highly competitive rates and tailored lease agreements.

Furniture Leasing and Fit Out Leases are Flexible and Cost-efficient

The workplace environment has a major impact on employee productivity and morale as well as company image. Leasing allows customers to acquire the type of furniture they need, when they need it, without upfront capital outlay. Companies simply choose the items they require now and pay for it through regular tax deductible payments over the useful lifecycle of the investment – normally 2 to 5 years.

Furniture Leasing is Fast

The process of securing a lease agreement is also far quicker and easier than that of obtaining a loan or overdraft extension from a bank to fund furniture purchases. With leasing not only do customers retain all their existing lines of credit, it also makes also makes it easier for them to expand and refresh their requirements and company image in the future.

Choose a Well-established and Reputable Leasing Company

Founded in 2006, WestWon is a member of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) and an Associate Member of the Finance and Leasing Association (FLA). WestWon adheres to industry best practice and we pride ourselves on providing an excellent level of service and complete transparency on all agreements.

WestWon Office Furniture Leasing Customer Testimonial

Seco Tools is an example of a WestWon lease finance customer who undertook a complete facility refit  including furniture.

“Working with WestWon was easy, very easy.  I used Furniture 23 for the furniture package. They put me in contact with WestWon and from there it was just ticking boxes and logical steps – and very easy.  The leasing was the easy part of my job!”  Paul Hipkin, Project Manager, Seco Tools.
